The House of Wolf is proud to host an evening of wild British culinary delights by working in collaboration with Tom Forster’s ‘Got Game’. To give a quick idea; Got Game specialises in gourmet barbecue cooked Cornish game, rare breeds and wild produce, offering high quality modern British street food in a simple yet delicious form.
What is most fascinating about got game is where it’s produce comes from; the great majority of their wild game is supplied by Duchy Game (duchygame.com), set up by an ex-school friend of Tom’s. They take the season’s supply of pheasant and partridge from the renowned Caerhays and Tregothnan estates, as well as other local Cornish shoots, and venison and rabbit from hunters across the county. Other suppliers include Tom’s brother Jamie, who has stalking rights on their uncle’s land and supplies him with wild venison. His cousin Ellie Savory of Norfolk Quail (norfolkquail.co.uk), supplies ethically farmed quail and quail eggs. Wild boar, including award-winning charcuterie, comes from Simon Gaskell and the Real Boar Co (therealboar.co.uk), and from Wiltshire Game (wiltshiregame.co.uk). And when chance allows, the boys rekindle their childhood memories at the local Arallas shoot or go stalking together in Norfolk or Scotland. Meaning they shoot and process, and then Tom cooks the meat himself - quite literally, from field to fork.
‘Got Game’ will be hosting serving their 5 course menu at The House of Wolf this December (9th and 10th). For reservations and inquiries please contact [email protected]
